Keidanren has launched the "ICT Support Team for the disaster regions" in cooperation with Japanese ICT industries, the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
Japanese and American ICT companies, the members of the team will work hard together to support recovery efforts in the devastated areas. Personal computers will be provided for free and the internet will be installed and repaired responding to requests from the local people.
