The number of corporations which implemented a new system in fiscal year 1993 to promote philanthropic activities was 46 (54 systems), an increase of one over fiscal year 1992 with 45 (61 systems). Especially noticeable was the implementation of various leave and time-off systems (26 systems) and matching gift systems (9 systems), which is evidence for the fact that companies are expanding their support systems for employees to participate in philanthropic activities.
