1. Nature conservation (Environment) Measure posture to activity
As a company in the auto industry, DENSO works globally on reducing an environmental impact at every stage of the business activities including development, procurement, manufacturing, service and so on.
DENSO especially takes environmental conservation activity as one of the three focused fields. We are promoting nature conservation activities in many local communities wherever any DENSO facilities are located. Our environmental conservation activities can be mainly divided into the following three categories.
- Environmental education program designed for children.
- Volunteer leader training courses to promote environmental conservation activities by our associates.
- Our volunteers’ actual practice at each nature preservation.

We have a training course in a copse of company-owned ground for volunteer leaders (associates) who play a key roles in environmental conservation activities. The course provides the useful knowledge for the activities and raises awareness for environment. It also promotes protecting company-owned ground.

The program is designed to help elementary school children understand
environment by providing enjoyable experiences with their local nature.
It has been held in DENSO main office areas since 2001. In 2005 We have/had the program with more numbers of elementary and junior high school students in Seto area of EXPO under the theme of Nature's Wisdom. We expect all participants will contribute to environmental conservation for the future.
"Green" "Water" "Atomosphere" which auto industry impacts on and "Satoyama"(symbolic relation of human and nature) "soil" which are features of Seto area of EXPO.

5. Practical use and preservation of the company-owned ground etc.
As shown at #3, we have/had a training course in a copse of company-owned ground in Mikkabi-town,Shizuoka for volunteer leaders (associates) who play a key roles in environmental conservation activities.
We promote conservation activities in the company-owned ground at the same time.

As shown at #4, the program is designed to help elementary school children understand environment by providing enjoyable experiences with local natures. The program was held at Biotope built in Denso Nishio plant and the forest with recration facility owened by DENSO in Namiai village, Nagano.
6. Woods structure activities of afforestation, silviculture, etc.
As shown at #3, we have/had a training course in a copse of company-owned ground in Mikkabi-town, Shizuoka for volunteer leaders(associates) who play a key roles in environmental conservation.
We also promoted actual environmental conservation at the same time.
We participated clean-up and glass cutting activities for iris conservation campaign at Kozutsumi-nishi pond in Kariya-city and the preservation activities of the Hirahara-Genji(Japanese lightening bugs), in Nishio city.
7. Others
When our associates donate to philanthropic organizations approved as deserving DENSO's support, we match their contributions doubling their gift. Through the Matching gifts system, we support many environmental conservation organizations as well.
