1. Nature conservation (Environment) Measure posture to activity

We recognize environmental preservation activities as the important management task, and are implementing voluntary environmental preservation activities based on "Fujitsu Group Environmental Policy".

In addition, we aim at the expansion of environmental education for the employee to contribute to the global environment maintenance, and are promoting the activity that all employees take a leading part.

2. Cooperation with NGO

We develop session game "Rhythm Forest" in cooperation with Nifty Corporation and Photon Inc., and the monetary equivalent of one seedling is donated from each player's monthly charges for this game to the "Children's Forest Program" forestation project promoted by OISCA-International. Moreover, we receive the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan International Forestry Promotion & Cooperation Center (JIFPRO) with the Fujitsu Labor Union, and are advancing overseas reforestation activities. Additionally, we participate in the afforestation activity of OISCA-International sponsoring in Hong Kong, and have held the environmental leadership training conference of Fujitsu association by cooperation with The Wild Bird Society of Japan.
We are introducing the activity which participates in the Eco-products exhibit in the cooperation of labor with Nippon Association of Consumer Specialists (NACS), and environmental study to the high school. We are implementing activities harmonizing with the society.

3. Environmental education and volunteer training (employee)

We are regularly executing the literacy education, the technical training, the lecture meeting by other visiting lecturer, and the education in the Fujitsu group company, etc. as employee's environmental education.
Moreover, the employees are introducing the variety of information concerning the environment and nature each other and promoting the spontaneous activity in Intranet FUJITSU Eco Club which supports employee's personal environmental volunteer work.
In addition, for each employee to be interested in an environmental activity, and to take the lead more than before and to do the action which considers the environment, we have held the environmental leadership training.

4. Environmental education (exterior)

We are implementing the education concerning nature conservation in the above-mentioned content.

5. Practical use and preservation of the company-owned ground etc.

We are executing the following activities in the factory and each office.
In the Kawasaki Research & Manufacturing Facilities, we have been working on the maintenance of the factory environment which takes the garden style at first of establishment, and considering for employees to be able to touch nature.
In the Numazu Plant, a natural recurrence by biotope, the farm and the tea fieldmaking, and the annual tea picking event, etc. are executed.
In the Oyama Plant and the Kumagaya Plant, the biotope restores the natural environment, and prevents water pollution, and observes water quality by the living things. It's effect is extending to the improvement of the environmental preservation awareness of the employee also.

6. Woods structure activities of afforestation, silviculture, etc.

We have been supporting tropical reforestation activities in Southeast Asia since 1997. From 2005, we are implementing the fourth phase of this tree-planting program, following completion of the third phase, in Sabah State, Malaysia, on Kinarut land controlled by Sabah Forestry Development Authority. We intend to spend three years restoring the population of native varieties by planting dipterocarp species seedlings In January 2005, 41 employee volunteers from Japan participated in the reforestation work, planting a hillside with 2,643 dipterocarp species seedlings.
Fujitsu Minami-Kyushu Systems Engineering Ltd., carried out reforestation activities on the caldera rim of Mt. Aso in 2004. In April, about 200 employees and their families joined with volunteers from nearby Nishihara Village and Aso Greenstock Foundation to plant trees and in September, about 100 persons cut undergrowth. 220 persons participated in forestation implemented in April 2005, and the company is committed to preserving Kyushu's water resources and rare animal and plant species.
