Fiscal administration strategy

I commend the government for setting goals to restore health in the state finances. In order to attain these targets, the government needs to achieve high economic growth through steady implementation of its growth strategy as well as carry out fundamental tax reform including increase in consumption tax. DPJ and LDP wrote the issue of consumption tax raise clearly in their manifestos. It was a courageous and admirable political will and leadership. I expect policital parties to reach the goal of recovering of fiscal health through serious joint work in a bipartisan way.

Flexibility of RMB exchange rate

The Chinese government made a sensible approach. The decision seems to be made with perspectives to realise stable and sustainable growth of the Chinese economy.

Expectation for the House of Councilors' election

Each party should discuss the future vision of Japan and show the people their concrete policy ideas to solve problems so that voters can choose the right party or parties.
